Voicemail

Three ways messages get deleted from the YouMail system

  1. Use Case #1
    1. User moves the message to the Trash folder.
    2. User explicitly purges the message from the Trash folder.
    3. At this point the message is only visible via the Voicemail Polling method and only for the next 10 days. After 10 days has passed the message is completely removed from the system.
  2. Use Case #2
    1. User moves the message to the Trash folder.
    2. After 30 days has passed the message sitting in the Trash folder is purged.
    3. At this point the message is only visible via the Voicemail Polling method and only for the next 10 days. After 10 days has passed the message is completely removed from the system.
  3. Use Case #3
    1. API changes a message's status to “hidden”
    2. At this point the message is only visible via the Voicemail Polling method and only for the next 10 days. After 10 days has passed the message is completely removed from the system.

Migration from V3 Voicemail Services

  1. All dates has been changed from date format to standard java long digits representation (milliseconds since January 1, 1970).
  2. All arrays of long have been converted to commas separated string (ex. <entryIds>2073,8373,15524</entryIds>).
  3. Exception/Error codes have changed.
  4. Urls of most services have changed.
  5. Added “/messagebox/folders” service to return all user's folders. User folder information now also have “new” and “visible” entries count for each folder.
  6. Added folderName to messagebox query results.
  7. Binary data is no longer returned from “/messagebox/entry/query” service. Instead the query now has an option to retrieve the “messageDdataUrl” where the binary could be retrieved separately.
